micro1 is an AI research and data company. It engages experts across many fields as remote contractors to train and evaluate AI models with real-world knowledge.
micro1 is looking for a mechanical engineer to help train and evaluate AI systems on real engineering problems. You will build, solve, review and check problems that span structural, thermal, mechanical and multiphysics analysis, using Python to turn a physical brief into a working model and judging whether the results hold up.
Physical AI depends on models that respect the laws of mechanics, heat transfer and materials behavior. Expert-written and expert-verified tasks help AI learn to reason about real machines and structures instead of producing plausible but unphysical answers.
This is contract work of roughly 15 hours per week, fully remote and open to experts worldwide, with hours you choose yourself. Pay is $60–$120 per hour, and compensation is output-based: you are paid for each task that meets the project specifications, and minimum submission requirements apply. The role is coding heavy and expects you to work with coding agents. Hiring involves screening questions, an AI interview of about 30 minutes and a hiring manager review.
This opportunity is with micro1, an AI research and data company that engages domain experts to train and evaluate AI systems. micro1 hires for it and runs the work, and Apply opens micro1's own application page.
