Job Description

As the Founding AI Agent Engineer, you are a high-agency architect who orchestrates autonomous agent systems to solve real marketplace problems. You will take end-to-end ownership of features from concept to production, building multi-step agentic pipelines for automated item grading, instant pricing, and trusted cataloging, with a focus on buyer and seller experience.

Key Responsibilities

Obsess over the customer: start every workflow from the buyer or seller pain point backward, not from the technology forward.
Architect multi-agent systems: build production-grade, multi-step agentic pipelines for automated item grading, instant pricing, and trusted cataloging.
Control the economics: balance API costs, token usage, and latency to protect marketplace unit economics.
Build bulletproof guardrails: implement strict evaluation frameworks to catch hallucinations before they affect live inventory.
Eradicate friction: turn messy, unstructured second-hand product data into clean, instant listings at scale.

Qualifications

3–4 years of production engineering experience shipping complex, multi-step backend or AI workflows.
Deep mastery of LLM mechanics, including context windows, state management, tool calling, and structured JSON outputs.
High customer empathy paired with high agency and fierce execution speed.
